Rotary arm or articulated arm automation
These tend to be the most flexible type of gate automation system being able to be used with the majority of gates and hinging arrangements. They are therefore the easiest systems to install for DIY applications. The articulation of the arm provides for flexible positioning of the motor away from the gate hinges. The motor sits on the rear of a pillar or post with the arm being attached to the gate at the point where they meet.
