Free entry gate automation systems
These gate systems utilise sub-systems that enable much free entry and exit to the property. For example the gates could open automatically as a vehicle approaches them (by use of groundloop sensors), pedestrians could simply push a button for the gates to open.
These systems are obviously not as secure as systems that define the entrants to the property they are however much more convenient in terms of operation. The system maintance some secure element as much of the security value of a gate is the apperance of it in the closed position.
The free entrance capability can be combined with secure systems either by a timing mechanism or toggle switch. In this way the gates could operate on a free entrance basis during the day or when the free entrance systems were on. Out of hours or when the free entrance facility was of guests could be made to call the house or use another defined entry mechanism to get into the property.
